I’ve been immersed in traditional Irish music my whole life - playing the Irish wooden flute from a very young age - but I also went on to study classical flute at third level with the legendary Marzio Conti in the Boccherini Conservatoire in Lucca, Italy. Marzio was a true master of his instrument & I learned so much from him - so many great techniques that I have applied to my own flute playing over the years.
When I play the flute these two musical worlds collide, but my flute playing is all the better for it.
